Mülheim on the Ruhr, March 17, 2005. The Mülheim-based company wins the contract to equip the Munich "S-Bahn" (rapid transit system).
ms Neumann Elektronik GmbH was contracted by the Munich Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund GmbH (MVV, Linked Transport and Tariff System) to equip the Munich "S-Bahn" with a comprehensive, centralized control system. ms Neumann Elektronik GmbH was able to assert itself in the Europe-wide call for tenders based on its expertise and technologically convincing solution.
The project encompasses the supply, installation and integration of more than 130 highly advanced, IP-capable, fully automated (remote) PA systems from its ELA@GATE line of products.
Ride Safely, Now Also in the MVV
In addition to the Hanover Central Train Station/Trade Fair Train Station and the Aachen Train Station, Munich is now also equipped with high-tech made in Mülheim on the Ruhr.
Munich has thus become a trailblazing model for S-Bahns (rapid transit systems) that are integrated into the "Systemized Railway" with respect to standardization, optimal operations management and the migration capabilities of automated information systems.
Particularly with regard to standardized announcements and visual display, the groundwork is being laid in Munich that will later be used throughout the German Republic.
